Novak Djokovic will miss Serbia's Davis Cup tie against Denmark as he recovers from the injury sustained at the Australian Open. (More Tennis News)
The 24-time grand slam champion was forced to retire while a set down to Alexander Zverev in last week's semi-final at Rod Laver Arena.
Djokovic, who initially sustained the hamstring issue during his quarter-final win over Carlos Alcaraz, will now sit out Serbia's first-round qualifier against Denmark.
Defending champions India will now face off against China, who beat Pakistan in the first semi-final.
Davis Cup organisers confirmed the news on Tuesday, with the tie scheduled to take place between 31 January and 2 February.
